Welcome Home A Hero
I saw this on "A Soldier's Mind" posted by Terri, and had to share it on my blog too. Tip of the hat and a big thank you to Terri, and ABC News for doing the right thing for a change.
Get the tissues ready, before you view this.

Oh, PJ, thank goodness you didn't disappear! I was truly upset when your blog "disappeared" !!!!! Glad to find you again. Good luck at the sheriff's! I am attempting to work at my near local S.O. too. Long story, don't even have the will to tell it.
Is that the "good" agency you talk about? Thanks for missing me.
Wow, I would LOVE to do this. Great story. I know Charlie Gibson is a democrate but I still like his reproting
Rebekah, my suggestion is if you have a hub type airport near you, just go down with your family and welcome troops when they come home. I'm not sure how you find out when they are arriving, but there's got to some way. Maybe a local recruiter or you might ask the question on one of the MilBlogs, like A Soldier's Perspective linked on my blog. My guess would be it wouldn't be long before others would join you.
Its so weird. My brother in law is a Marine and I asked family about going to see him when he got off the plane but no one had any interest....what is up with that?
I get Cincinnati news and I have seen some people do it. I will have to look into this and take my boys with me
Powerful! An old man with nothing but a smile and a handshake to offer gives so much to so many. I can only imagine the pride it must bring a battle weary soldier to turn the corner and be greeted by the cheers, hugs and handshakes of hundreds of his fellow countrymen (and women) who do not know him at all. I can only imagine how satisfying must be the joy that comes from putting that smile on a soldiers face. Thank you for sharing!
